Origins & Craftsmanship

The Aberfeldy Distillery in Scotland’s Highlands has built its reputation on its smooth, malt-rich whiskies featuring honey, gentle spice and pure Pitilie Burn water. For this limited edition, the whisky is matured for 15 years in refill and hogshead casks, then finished in hand-selected red-wine casks from the Bolgheri region of Tuscany, Italy—an area known for robust “Super-Tuscan” style wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. The finish in Italian red-wine casks adds a distinct layer of dark fruit richness, spice and oak influence while preserving Aberfeldy’s core character.
