This brand is named after the McAfee brothers, who explored the area around present-day Frankfort in the later 1700s. Benchmark is also made from Buffalo Trace's traditional bourbon mash bill #1, with a low rye content.

The scent of deep brown sugar and chocolate are followed by the bold taste of caramel and baking spice. The finish is long and rich.
