Jarvis 2013 Cave Fermented Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley
Jarvis 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley is an ultra-premium, estate-grown Cabernet that reflects the depth and elegance of Napa Valley mountain fruit. Richly concentrated yet impeccably balanced, it delivers layers of cassis, dark cherry, graphite, and tobacco framed by refined tannins and long aging potential. Cave-fermented and matured in new French oak, the wine represents Jarvis Estate’s meticulous winemaking philosophy—powerful yet polished, luxurious yet precise.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Jarvis Estate sits on the eastern slopes of the Vaca Mountains in Napa Valley, where vineyards reach elevations of roughly 1,000 feet above the valley floor. The cooler mountain climate, combined with rocky soils and excellent drainage, produces grapes with both intensity and natural acidity.
The winery is renowned for its fully underground cave winery, where fermentation and barrel aging take place entirely below the surface. This environment maintains naturally stable temperature and humidity, allowing extremely controlled fermentation and maturation.
The 2013 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from the estate’s finest vineyard blocks and represents a selection of the most concentrated barrels from the vintage. The wine was fermented in the Jarvis caves and then aged approximately 30 months in 100% new French oak barrels, followed by additional bottle aging before release.
The 2013 vintage in Napa Valley is widely regarded as exceptional, producing Cabernet Sauvignons with remarkable structure, purity of fruit, and longevity.
