Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced by the Nolet Distillery in Schiedam, the Netherlands, this vodka has its roots in a family-run business dating back to 1691. The flagship Ketel One expression, launched in 1983, is crafted using 100% European soft winter wheat. The production involves a combination of distillation methods: bulk column distillation for base spirit, followed by a small portion undergoing copper pot still re-distillation in the distillery’s original copper still (“Distilleerketel #1”), after which the spirits are blended, charcoal-filtered and rested in tanks before bottling. Each batch is approved by a member of the Nolet family, ensuring consistent quality and signature character.

• Nose: Clean and subtle, with gentle hints of citrus zest (lemon or grapefruit), soft wheat-grain sweetness and a whisper of white pepper or fresh herb.

• Palate: Smooth and well-balanced, the wheat base gives a light toast or biscuit-like warmth, followed by bright citrus and a touch of vanilla or cream. The texture is sleek and refined.

• Finish: Medium-long and clean, the finish carries the gentle grain sweetness and citrus lift, with minimal burn or heaviness—making it ideal for both neat sipping and high-quality cocktails.
