Lost Lore Tequila Anejo
Lost Lore Tequila Añejo delivers a rich and refined sipping experience, marrying the bright vibrancy of Los Altos agave with smooth, mellow barrel-aged character. With notes of cooked agave, vanilla and toasted oak wrapped in a subtle spice, this añejo is ideal for the quiet connoisseur moment.
Origins & Craftsmanship –
Crafted in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, Lost Lore uses 100 % mature Agave tequilana Weber harvested from high-altitude estates. The piñas are roasted in traditional stone or brick ovens, then crushed via roller mills. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, using Champagne yeast and an open‐air environment, followed by double copper‐pot distillation. The spirit is then matured in used American white-oak barrels to develop depth without overwhelming the agave core. Additives are eschewed entirely, showing a commitment to purity and craft.
Tasting Profile –
-
Nose: Cooked agave leads with warm vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of butterscotch. Behind it lies delicate spice — nutmeg or cinnamon — and a whisper of dried fruit.
-
Palate: The entry is smooth and round, with roasted agave sweetness, smooth caramel and vanilla overlaying a foundation of oak. A touch of black pepper or cinnamon spice emerges mid-palate, giving lift without aggression.
-
Finish: Long and gently warming, the oak and spice linger alongside subtle salted brine and muted banana or dried-fruit echoes. The agave backbone remains present, ensuring the tequila stays true to its origins.
