Pendleton 1910 12 Year old Canadian Rye Whiskey

An elegantly aged and approachable rye whiskey, Pendleton 1910 blends peppery warmth, tobacco, and charred oak with a smooth core of maple and sweet cherry. Its balance of spice and sweetness makes it both contemplative on the rocks and compelling in classic cocktails.

Origins & Craftsmanship

Distilled in Canada and aged a minimum of 12 years in oak barrels, this 100% rye whiskey honors the year of the first Pendleton Round-Up (1910). It’s finished and bottled by Hood River Distillers (Oregon), featuring signature saddle tooling design and the bucking-horse icon.

Tasting Profile

Nose: Nutmeg, cloves, and faint pineapple build a warmly spiced, well-rounded aroma.
Palate: Layers of dried cherries, apples, muted tropical notes, and nutty toffee enrich the flavor, balanced by maple and sweet cherry undertones.
Finish: Medium-dry finish with lingering tart cherry, a spicy rye kick, and peppery heat, tempered by smoothness and complexity.
Tasting Notes from Tastings.com (2024): Expect golden-amber hues with notes of maple syrup, molasses, sweet tea, orange zest, rooibos, red berries, toffee, eucalyptus oil, and green grass—a layered sip with a tingling, medium-long finish.
Tasting Notes from Tastings.com (2023): Brown sugar, cinnamon, rye toast, maple, and caramel spices lead into a lively, tingling texture and medium-length finish—great neat or in spicy cocktails like tiki drinks.

Cocktail & Serving Uses

This versatile rye is equally compelling neat, on the rocks, or in elevated classics. Try it in a 1910 Old Fashioned, Sazerac, Manhattan, or even a tiki-style drink for an intriguing twist.
