Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman is one of the oldest and most respected Port houses, founded in 1692 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Their 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a blend of ports that have spent an average of ten years maturing in seasoned oak casks, undergoing slow oxidative aging that progressively softens fruit and builds layered complexity.

Unlike vintage port styles that age primarily in bottle, this tawny benefits from years of wood exposure—developing nutty, caramelized, dried fruit and spice character while remaining beautifully balanced and approachable. The goal is a tawny that is immediately drinkable upon release but still expressive and complex enough to reward thoughtful sipping.

  • 1 ¾ oz Taylor Fladgate 10 Year Old Tawny Port

  • ¾ oz aged rum

  • ½ oz whole egg (or 1 egg yolk)

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • Fresh grated nutmeg
    Method: Dry shake ingredients, then shake with ice; strain into a coupe, grate nutmeg on top.
