Distilled in 1978 at The Glenrothes Distillery in Speyside, Scotland, this vintage release is drawn from a highly limited selection of barrels chosen by the distillery’s malt master. It represents the final vinnings of the 1970s era for the distillery and is bottled in a small allocation. The whisky is matured in a high proportion of sherry-seasoned oak casks—imparting depth of colour and flavour—then bottled at approximately 43% ABV, with natural colour and non-chill-filtered to preserve character.
