🧪 Origins & Cask Composition

• First released in 2003, Uigeadail is named after the Islay loch supplying the distillery’s water. It is matured in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels and older ex-sherry casks, then bottled at traditional strength (54.2% ABV) and non-chill-filtered to preserve maximum flavor and viscosity.

👃 Nose (Aroma)

• Aromatics open with heady, smoky peat—think tar, char, and creosote—balanced by sherry-rich sweetness: Christmas cake, chocolate-coated raisins, walnut oil, and Parma violets. Hints of ocean spray, pine needles, and oiled leather add depth and intrigue. Water opens up more meaty smoke and briny seaweed notes.
